Following the completion of her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Speech Language Pathology from the University of Toledo in 2009, Sarah came to Northeast Ohio working primarily in the skilled nursing and home health settings.
Sarah is trained in Guardian Way NMES, myofascial release, TEP and TE speech, and FEES. She completed her FEES training with Susan Langmore at Boston Medical Center and supervision under the direction of Beth Blondheim, owner of SuperiorView Swallowing Diagnostics. She is currently pursuing her board certification in swallowing and swallowing disorders (BCS-S) and is an approved mentee with the American Board of Swallowing and Swallowing Disorders (ABSSD). She mentors several local SLPs post CFY and received her first ASHA ACE award in 2019.
In addition, Sarah is the creator and editor of the Dysphagia Bites newsletter, co-founder of the Northeast Ohio Medical SLP Journal Club (NEO MedSLP), and a community educator for the Alzheimer’s Association of Greater East Ohio chapter.
