BIO

Beth Blondheim, M.A. CCC/SLP

I attended Bowling Green State University for my Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders and Kent State University for my Master of Arts in Speech Language Pathology. My clinical fellowship was completed at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation main campus where I was given great opportunities to train with excellent clinicians and work with a variety of patient populations. I particularly enjoyed the acute hospital and rehab settings and developed an interest in swallowing disorders. During the last 15 years, I have continued to develop my skill in the area of diagnostics and dysphagia working with various local hospitals, skilled nursing facilities and mobile diagnostic services. At these facilities I interpreted modified barium swallow studies and consulted with many talented speech pathologists in the dysphagia assessment and treatment planning process.

Continuing my education in dysphagia diagnosis, I attended Susan Butler’s FEES Workshop at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. I completed the ASHA FEES privileging protocol under the supervision of Michelle Gibson with Western Kentucky Speech and Swallowing. I strive to stay up to date with treatment and assessment techniques related to dysphagia. I have great respect for the clinicians I have worked with and have learned so much from in the past and I continue to be open to new ideas and techniques to benefit our patients in the future.

I live in Cuyahoga Falls with my two girls, Sara and Kate, and our wonderful dog, Lucy. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to provide the FEES diagnostic service to you and your patients.
